Matt Cheney

Matt has worn many hats throughout his career—Home Theater sales and installer, small business owner, web site developer, and marketing strategist for authors. Following a decade as a stay-at-home dad, where he skillfully managed the household and cherished summers on two-month-long RV road trips with his boys, a friend opened his eyes to a new possibility: becoming a flight instructor.

Feeling the call to return to the workforce as his kids grew old enough to drive, Matt saw aviation as the perfect career to satisfy his craving for travel and adventure. In 2019, he embarked on his aviation journey, obtaining his Commercial and CFI licenses with ACES Flight School. Today, Matt is a full-time flight instructor, sharing his passion for the skies with aspiring aviators.

 Cameron Good

Cameron grew up going to different air shows and dreamed of being a pilot. As he got older, life started to get in the way of chasing that dream. After bouncing around to several different full time jobs and serving active duty in the United States Marine Corps, he decided to follow that dream of being a pilot and started his aviation journey in 2021. Cameron finished up his flight training as well as graduated from Liberty University early 2023 with a B.S in Aviation and Aeronautical Technology. Cameron is married with 3 kids and loves spending time with family and doing things outdoors. Cameron is a full-time flight instructor who has a passion for flying and teaching the next generation of pilots.

Brian Flaherty

Growing up behind the local airport in Lumberton, NJ, Brian had the unique opportunity to be around aircraft. His first flight was in a Cessna 172 when his neighbor graciously took him up for a ride. It was then he realized how much he wanted to fly. His opportunity to learn how to fly came when his job required a pilot to be on staff to operate drones. It was then that the aviation bug hit him. He is now a CFII and enjoys flying all types of planes. He especially enjoys teaching new students and helping them achieve their aviation goals.

Alex Stennett

Alex grew up in Fort Mill, SC where he constantly watched airliners fly over his head on their way to Charlotte. This sparked his interest but never really thought it was something he could pursue. Until his sophomore year of college, his dad who was a navy pilot, and his uncle who is a captain for UPS encouraged him to take a discovery flight and give it a try. He decided to take that discovery flight and realized flying was for him. He passed his private checkride in 2019 and attained his CFI in 2022. Through instructing he has learned his favorite thing about flying is showing others the joy of aviation.
